And Security researchers found evidence that several of Apple’s first-party apps seem to report data even with iPhone analytics turned off.

Veronica is very concerned about the Witcher news. Also on this episode: we have some prize winners to increase your to-read list. We pick a tentative fan name for y’all. We kick off our November read, Six Wakes by Mur Lafferty, AND our final thoughts on The Jasmine Throne by Tasha Suri. Also, Veronica might have Crow-vid.

TV vs Mobile, Video vs Shorts – DTNS 4392

YouTube Shorts– YouTube’s TikTok-like feature– had 1.5 billion users a month who watched 30 billion videos a month as of the beginning of the year according to YouTube product manager Todd Sherman in a Verge story. Is this the future for YouTube? And Wired posted a story “TikTok’s Greatest Asset Isn’t Its Algorithm—It’s Your Phone” by Leo Kim. Is he right? Is this smartphone medium really TikTok’s secret sauce?
