The crew of Moonbase Alpha must struggle to survive when a massive explosion throws the Moon from orbit into deep space.
This was probably the best sci-fi show on TV at the time. While I was a Trek fan, I did find it a bit to cerebral as a kid and lacking action. Space 1999 had it all. Aliens, space battles, and even the cerebral aspect to it where you were elect to ponder at the end of the episode.
Much of the technology was believable as something that humankind could reasonably achieve, less the stun guns and artificial gravity. The Eagles appeared to be thought out, having iterations for transport, rescue, construction, and what appeared to be a small tank made with the cockpit of the Eagle in later episodes. It was good listening to you two talk about this program. Brought back some great memories. You have earned a new subscriber. Hoping for a video version of the podcast in the future.

Apparently the Blu-ray release of the show is absolutely stunning.
