I was interviewed by local CBS affiliate, KPIX, for their “Good Question” segment. The question was, “why do speakerphones make that annoying sound when you have a cell phone nearby?”
Hopefully they kept the quote where I describe it as the Durka Durka noise.
The segment will air during the 10 p.m. news on CW (Channel 12), and during the 11 p.m. news program on KPIX (Channel 5).
A new app called Fring lets you make VoIP calls on your iPhone. It’s a little slicker, but similar to SIP- VoIP. You must jailbreak your phone to make this work.

I have the great pleasure of doing another session at this year’s New Media Expo (aka Podcast Expo) in Las Vegas. The convention runs August 14-16. We celebrated the one-year anniversary of CNET Live by having Justin Kan of back on the show to talk about lifecasting. We also celebrated with technical problems.
I got by the Reelz Channel (A pretty cool movie news channel) for their show Dailies about the death of HD-DVD. The show aired on Monday. I’ll see if I can find some video.
