The Audacity of Data Collecting – DTNS 4066

New owners of Audacity updated the audio editor’s privacy policy with language indicating it was collecting user data for analytics and legal enforcement. Nintendo announced a new version of the Switch game console with a 7-inch screen and 720p OLED display. And Norway passed a law requiring anyone being paid to post on social media to disclose if posts have been modified and how. The law is meant to reduce pressure put on people due to “idealized people in advertising”.

El 7 de junio del 2021 se dio a conocer el resultado de la operación Trojan Shield / Green Light. ¿El saldo final? Más de 800 presuntos criminales fueron capturados en varios países. Todo gracias a una aplicación de mensajería.

Pero el decir que An0m, una aplicación con usos tan comunes como los que tenemos en WeChat, Whatsapp o Facebook Messenger ayudó a detener a varios grupos criminales alrededor del mundo es muy sencillo. La realidad, como siempre, es más compleja. Exploramos el caso así como todo lo que se tuvo que preparar para el operativo Ironside, en donde el uso de la aplicación de AN0M fue pieza clave.

Supply Chain Attack Against Kaseya Spreads Ransomware Across the Enterprise – DTH

Nikkei Asia’s (NEE-kay Asia’s) sources say Intel and Apple began testing chip designs using TSMC’s 3-nanometer production technology, security researchers at Northeastern University purchased 86 used Echo Dot devices and found “all previous passwords and tokens, remains on the flash memory, sometimes even after a factory reset, and CNET’s Dan Ackerman has an article up called “Why giant e-Ink screens like the Boox Note Air’s are my favorite underrated tech.”
